Background
Ecommerce platforms rarely operate in isolation - they need to talk to ERP systems, payment gateways, shipping providers, and internal tools. Since 2017 I've built REST and SOAP integrations as a core part of Magento and OpenMage projects, alongside standalone PHP APIs for clients whose requirements go beyond what a plugin can cover.
My B.Sc. thesis at Technische Hochschule Rosenheim focused on Progressive Web Apps in the E-Commerce Context, with specialisations in Internet Programming and Digital Sales - the academic grounding behind the integration work I build today.
